Why We Love the Escea DF700

At Haus Collective, the Escea DF700 is one of our favourite fireplaces for projects where space is at a premium but quality cannot be compromised. It offers the same premium engineering and minimalist styling Escea is known for, packaged into a size that’s incredibly versatile for both new builds and renovation projects.

The DF700 is an excellent choice for smaller living rooms, apartments, media rooms and bedrooms, providing a beautiful flame without overwhelming the space. Its frameless design allows it to integrate seamlessly with natural stone, timber, porcelain, feature plaster and custom cabinetry, making it equally at home in contemporary, coastal or modern architectural designs.

One of the standout features is Escea’s Powered Direct Vent flue system, which provides significantly greater flexibility when planning the fireplace location. Combined with Zero Clearance installation and the ability to position a television from just 200mm above the fireplace, it gives builders, architects and homeowners greater freedom to create clean, uninterrupted feature walls.

With Smart Heat Wi-Fi control, premium fuel bed options and highly efficient heating performance, the Escea DF700 delivers everything you’d expect from a premium gas fireplace in a compact format.

For homeowners looking to introduce the ambience of a real flame without sacrificing valuable living space, the Escea DF700 offers the perfect combination of sophisticated design, innovative technology and everyday comfort, making it one of the best compact gas fireplaces available in Australia.

Recently had a fireplace installed by Haus Collective and it’s gorgeous! We haven’t fully utilised it yet but visually we are extremely happy. There were lots of stages of installation so it was a bigger job than anticipated and we did have a few surprise costs outside of the quote. The quality of workmanship is great and would recommend to friends and family for fireplace and stone wall installation.

Thanks to Haus Collective for helping us with the purchase of our new wood burning fireplace. They were wonderful to deal with. A special thanks to Jimmy who’s knowledge and exceptional customer service meant we ended up with something were extremely happy with.

When we were building our home, the fireplace was the centrepiece, and we essentially designed the house around it. The team at Haus Collective worked closely with us to make our vision a reality, even when others told us it couldn't be done. Now that the fireplace is installed and in use, we couldn't be happier. We recently had a few "user error" issues getting the best performance from the fire, and Mitch took the time to come out and show us exactly how to build and manage the optimal fire. What really sets Haus Collective apart is their commitment to their customers long after the sale. They don't just sell you a fireplace and disappear – they genuinely want you to get the absolute best experience and performance from your fireplace. Exceptional service, expert knowledge, and outstanding after-sales support. We highly recommend Haus Collective.

We had a fireplace done a few months ago. Really happy with how it turned out. Mitch came round measured up and give us a practical solution. We got down sold if anything, but we really appreciate that. The wood burner looks and performs great in the space. Impressed how quick it all came together the installation crew recommended were great also. Really refreshing experience would sincerely recommend to anyone.

Sourced marble tiles from Haus Collective to replace the old carpet in my two apartment bedrooms. Jimmy was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, prompt with communication and supplied the tiles for a very fair price. They also provided me some replacement tiles free of charge, for ones that I cracked and the cracked tiles were entirely my fault! Would happily do business with them again.
