Why We Love the Escea DFS730

At Haus Collective, the Escea DFS730 is one of the easiest fireplaces to recommend for homeowners who love the character of a freestanding fire but want the convenience of modern gas heating. It delivers everything people love about a traditional wood heater—the inviting flame, the freestanding presence and the cosy atmosphere—without collecting firewood, cleaning ash or constantly tending the fire.

What really sets the DFS730 apart is its versatility. Unlike many freestanding fireplaces, it doesn’t require a hearth, allowing it to be installed on a wide range of flooring finishes and making it an excellent option for both renovations and new homes. It’s also an ideal replacement for an existing freestanding wood heater, using Escea’s Powered Direct Vent technology to provide significantly greater installation flexibility.

The sleek curved body and large viewing window give the DFS730 a refined architectural appearance that works beautifully in contemporary homes, while still feeling equally at home in coastal, Hamptons, farmhouse or country-inspired interiors. The combination of Bead Burner Technology and the premium Splitwood fuel bed creates one of the most realistic gas flames we’ve seen in a freestanding fireplace.

With Smart Heat Wi-Fi control, up to 5.8kW of heat output and Escea’s renowned engineering, the DFS730 offers the perfect balance of style, performance and everyday convenience.

For homeowners wanting the ambience of a freestanding fireplace with the comfort and simplicity of premium gas heating, the Escea DFS730 Freestanding Gas Fireplace is a fireplace that delivers on every level.

Recently had a fireplace installed by Haus Collective and it’s gorgeous! We haven’t fully utilised it yet but visually we are extremely happy. There were lots of stages of installation so it was a bigger job than anticipated and we did have a few surprise costs outside of the quote. The quality of workmanship is great and would recommend to friends and family for fireplace and stone wall installation.

Thanks to Haus Collective for helping us with the purchase of our new wood burning fireplace. They were wonderful to deal with. A special thanks to Jimmy who’s knowledge and exceptional customer service meant we ended up with something were extremely happy with.

When we were building our home, the fireplace was the centrepiece, and we essentially designed the house around it. The team at Haus Collective worked closely with us to make our vision a reality, even when others told us it couldn't be done. Now that the fireplace is installed and in use, we couldn't be happier. We recently had a few "user error" issues getting the best performance from the fire, and Mitch took the time to come out and show us exactly how to build and manage the optimal fire. What really sets Haus Collective apart is their commitment to their customers long after the sale. They don't just sell you a fireplace and disappear – they genuinely want you to get the absolute best experience and performance from your fireplace. Exceptional service, expert knowledge, and outstanding after-sales support. We highly recommend Haus Collective.

We had a fireplace done a few months ago. Really happy with how it turned out. Mitch came round measured up and give us a practical solution. We got down sold if anything, but we really appreciate that. The wood burner looks and performs great in the space. Impressed how quick it all came together the installation crew recommended were great also. Really refreshing experience would sincerely recommend to anyone.

Sourced marble tiles from Haus Collective to replace the old carpet in my two apartment bedrooms. Jimmy was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, prompt with communication and supplied the tiles for a very fair price. They also provided me some replacement tiles free of charge, for ones that I cracked and the cracked tiles were entirely my fault! Would happily do business with them again.
