Why We Love the Escea DFS940

At Haus Collective, the Escea DFS940 is the freestanding gas fireplace we recommend when clients are looking for maximum visual impact without moving to a built-in fireplace. Its wider design and expansive viewing window immediately draw your attention to the flame, creating a striking centrepiece that anchors the entire living space.

What makes the DFS940 stand out is its ability to suit almost any style of home. It looks equally impressive in contemporary architectural homes, modern farmhouses, coastal retreats and luxury renovations. The optional concrete-look plinth allows the fireplace to become a sculptural feature in its own right, while custom-built bases can be incorporated to perfectly match your interior design.

We also appreciate the flexibility it offers during installation. Escea’s Powered Direct Vent technology makes the DFS940 an excellent replacement for an existing freestanding wood heater or a standout inclusion in a new build. Combined with its room-sealed design, homeowners enjoy all the ambience of a real flame while benefiting from efficient, clean and low-maintenance gas heating.

With Smart Heat Wi-Fi control, Bead Burner Technology, premium fuel bed options and up to 6.9kW of heat output, the Escea DFS940 delivers the warmth, performance and architectural presence expected from a premium freestanding gas fireplace.

For homeowners wanting a freestanding fireplace that offers exceptional design, innovative technology and an incredibly realistic flame, the Escea DFS940 is one of the finest premium gas fireplaces available in Australia today.

Recently had a fireplace installed by Haus Collective and it’s gorgeous! We haven’t fully utilised it yet but visually we are extremely happy. There were lots of stages of installation so it was a bigger job than anticipated and we did have a few surprise costs outside of the quote. The quality of workmanship is great and would recommend to friends and family for fireplace and stone wall installation.

Thanks to Haus Collective for helping us with the purchase of our new wood burning fireplace. They were wonderful to deal with. A special thanks to Jimmy who’s knowledge and exceptional customer service meant we ended up with something were extremely happy with.

When we were building our home, the fireplace was the centrepiece, and we essentially designed the house around it. The team at Haus Collective worked closely with us to make our vision a reality, even when others told us it couldn't be done. Now that the fireplace is installed and in use, we couldn't be happier. We recently had a few "user error" issues getting the best performance from the fire, and Mitch took the time to come out and show us exactly how to build and manage the optimal fire. What really sets Haus Collective apart is their commitment to their customers long after the sale. They don't just sell you a fireplace and disappear – they genuinely want you to get the absolute best experience and performance from your fireplace. Exceptional service, expert knowledge, and outstanding after-sales support. We highly recommend Haus Collective.

We had a fireplace done a few months ago. Really happy with how it turned out. Mitch came round measured up and give us a practical solution. We got down sold if anything, but we really appreciate that. The wood burner looks and performs great in the space. Impressed how quick it all came together the installation crew recommended were great also. Really refreshing experience would sincerely recommend to anyone.

Sourced marble tiles from Haus Collective to replace the old carpet in my two apartment bedrooms. Jimmy was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, prompt with communication and supplied the tiles for a very fair price. They also provided me some replacement tiles free of charge, for ones that I cracked and the cracked tiles were entirely my fault! Would happily do business with them again.
