Perfectly suited to modern Australian homes, the TFS650 MK2 delivers outstanding heating performance, exceptional efficiency and one of the cleanest-burning wood fires in its class. Whether you’re building a new home, replacing an existing wood heater or creating a feature within your living space, the TFS650 MK2 offers timeless style, innovative engineering and the unmistakable ambience that only a real wood fire can provide.
Built for the Perfect Wood Fire Experience
The Escea TFS650 MK2 has been designed to maximise every aspect of wood fire heating.
Its generous ceramic glass viewing window provides a spectacular view of the flames, while the carefully engineered firebox promotes efficient combustion and outstanding heat output. Unlike traditional wood heaters that consume heated room air, Escea’s exclusive Direct Vent Technology draws combustion air directly from outside, helping maintain a warmer, more comfortable and healthier home environment.
The TFS650 MK2 also features a two-speed Smart Fan that automatically distributes warm air throughout the room, ensuring consistent and efficient heating long after the fire has been established.

Why We Love the Escea TFS650 MK2
At Haus Collective, the Escea TFS650 MK2 is one of our favourite compact wood fireplaces because it proves you don’t need a large heater to enjoy outstanding performance. It’s perfectly suited to smaller and medium-sized homes, offering exceptional efficiency, beautiful flame presentation and the unmistakable radiant warmth that only a real wood fire can deliver.
What really sets the TFS650 MK2 apart is Escea’s exclusive Direct Vent Technology. Unlike conventional wood heaters that draw warm air from inside your home to fuel the fire, the TFS650 MK2 draws combustion air from outside. This not only improves heating efficiency but also helps maintain a more comfortable indoor environment by keeping the warm air you’ve already paid to heat inside your home. It’s a feature that very few wood fireplaces on the Australian market can offer.
We also appreciate the attention to detail throughout the design. The large glass viewing window creates a beautiful focal point, while the built-in Smart Fan quietly distributes warmth further throughout the room. Combined with the clean lines of the freestanding design and the choice of plinth options, the TFS650 MK2 integrates effortlessly into contemporary, Hamptons, Scandinavian, coastal and modern farmhouse interiors.
For homeowners wanting the authentic experience of a real wood fire with advanced engineering and exceptional efficiency, the Escea TFS650 MK2 is a fireplace we confidently recommend. It delivers outstanding heating performance, timeless design and the quality craftsmanship that has made Escea one of the most respected fireplace manufacturers in Australasia.
