Built for the Perfect Wood Fire Experience
Every detail of the Escea TFS850 MK2 has been engineered to create a superior wood burning experience.
Its spacious firebox accommodates logs up to 650mm in length, reducing the need for constant refuelling while producing a spectacular flame display through the generous ceramic glass viewing window. The firebox has been carefully designed to maximise combustion efficiency, delivering powerful radiant and convected heat throughout your home.
Unlike conventional wood fireplaces that use heated room air to fuel the fire, Escea’s exclusive Direct Vent Technology draws combustion air directly from outside the home. This innovative design helps retain warm indoor air, eliminates cold draughts and creates a more comfortable and energy-efficient living environment.
The built-in Smart Fan automatically distributes warm air throughout the room, helping heat larger areas more evenly while maintaining exceptional comfort during the colder months.

Why We Love the Escea TFS850 MK2
At Haus Collective, the Escea TFS850 MK2 has become one of our most recommended freestanding wood fireplaces because it offers the perfect combination of heating performance, firebox capacity and contemporary styling. It’s ideally suited to medium and larger homes where homeowners want the ambience of a real wood fire without compromising on efficiency or modern design.
One of the standout features is the larger firebox, allowing logs up to 650mm long. This means longer burn times, fewer reloads and a more enjoyable wood fire experience throughout the evening. Combined with the expansive glass viewing window, the TFS850 MK2 creates a spectacular flame display that quickly becomes the focal point of the room.
What truly separates the TFS850 MK2 from many traditional wood heaters is Escea’s Direct Vent Technology. By drawing combustion air from outside the home rather than using already-heated indoor air, the fireplace delivers exceptional heating efficiency while helping eliminate cold draughts often associated with conventional wood fires. It’s an innovative feature that makes a noticeable difference to both comfort and performance.
We also appreciate the flexibility the TFS850 MK2 offers from a design perspective. Whether installed on one of Escea’s signature plinths or incorporated into a custom-built base, it integrates beautifully into contemporary, Hamptons, Scandinavian, farmhouse and architectural homes alike.
With its generous heating capacity, intelligent engineering, premium construction and timeless appearance, the Escea TFS850 MK2 is an outstanding choice for homeowners wanting a freestanding wood fireplace that performs just as impressively as it looks. It’s a fireplace built to be enjoyed for decades and one we’re proud to recommend throughout Queensland and across Australia.
